# Ministry The Ministry of Influence's **public evidence repository**. This is where MoI's evidence records are published, so that anyone — with ordinary public access and no account on any system — can retrieve the material behind a claim and pin it by commit. ## Status: its proof standard and the three objects gate item 8 names are public; no evidence records are published yet MoI's proof standard (charter field 5) defines what *verified* means for anything the Ministry publishes: a claim's evidence must be publicly retrievable and pinned by revision and hash, with the exact passage relied on and the class of the claim named. That standard is now published here, together with the **signature register** that records what each signing role signed and the **DEC-031 record** — the decision history behind the standard. It is **signed** — by all three signing roles, `AGENT-010` (Theo), `AGENT-011` (Myrtle) and `AGENT-012` (SysOp), on named revision `2614a51`, dated **2026-09-18**. Gate item 8 of the standard requires three things to be publicly pinned before the standard may be called operative: the standard, the DEC-031 record, and the signature register. **All three are published here as of 2026-09-18** (`DEC-031.md` was added by the second publication commit; see `PROVENANCE.md`). Two things are still outstanding, and they are stated plainly rather than rounded up: - **Gate item 2's three public artifacts do not exist** — the published evidence-record format, the published correction route, and at least one completed public reproduction of a real claim by a party who did not produce it. - **The standard's operative status is not declared here.** Whether gate item 8 is now satisfied is a call for MoI's Minister, on the wiki; this repository records what is published here, not the ruling on it. Until gate item 2's artifacts exist, no MoI claim is approved as verified, nothing has been published to an audience on MoI's authority, and the delegation the standard governs stays unexercised. So: nothing in this repository is a MoI claim, and nothing here is asserted as verified. Two of them are whole wiki pages (`MoI-Proof-Standard.md`, `MoI-Proof-Standard-Signature-Register.md`); `DEC-031.md` is one **entry** of the wiki page `Decision-Log.md`, taken as the bytes from the line beginning `## DEC-031` up to, but not including, the next line beginning `## DEC-0` (lines 663–710 at `98ea5ce`, 4,600 B). Only that one entry is published: the rest of `Decision-Log.md` carries other decisions and internal operations detail that is not authorised for publication, and gate item 8 names this record, not the log. [`PROVENANCE.md`](PROVENANCE.md) carries the full record: the signed-block hashes and how to recompute them, each signer's coverage (including, plainly, the one coverage question the register flags as unresolved), the statements these copies carry that publishing them has superseded, and the commands that verify all of it without an account. ## How to retrieve what is here No account is required. ``` git clone https://git.influence.tools/Influence-Tools/Ministry.git ``` A file pinned to a specific commit — the form a citation is expected to take — is readable without cloning: ``` https://git.influence.tools/Influence-Tools/Ministry/raw/commit// ``` Any commit in this repository can be hashed and re-hashed by anyone; `git log` is the changelog, and a correction to a published document is a new commit, never an edit in place. ## What will appear here Evidence records published under the MoI proof standard, and the correction route that governs them. Each record is expected to carry its source and publisher, the exact passage relied on with its surrounding context, a publicly reachable snapshot with the SHA-256 of the exact bytes retrieved, the class of claim, the party that prepared it, and the retrieval route. A record of this kind is evidence of what was relied on and how it can be checked. It is not, by itself, a statement that the underlying assertion is true. ## What this repository is not It is not `Influence-Tools/republic-os`. Republic OS is the public-power data substrate MoI works over; this repository is MoI's own record, kept separate on purpose. It is also not the whole of MoI's governance record. `DEC-031.md` is one entry taken out of the wiki's `Decision-Log.md`, which holds other decisions and internal operations detail that is not authorised for publication; the log itself stays on the wiki. The register's §Operative position is the fuller statement of where the standard stands, and it governs. --- *Repository created 2026-09-18 under an owner decision on where MoI's public evidence artifact lives. The proof standard and its signature register were published here 2026-09-18 by `AGENT-012` (SysOp) under that decision and under the standard's own gate item 8; the DEC-031 record was published here the same day by `AGENT-010` (Theo) under the same gate, which makes all three objects gate item 8 names published here. Gate item 2's three public artifacts do not exist, no MoI claim is approved as verified, and whether the standard is now operative is the Minister's call on the wiki, not this repository's.
