## Notes
Editorial Notes
Codification Section, acts Mar. 4, 1913, ch. 145, § 1[part], 37 Stat. 842; Mar. 3, 1925, ch. 462, 43 Stat. 1144; Reorg. Plan No. 3 of 1946, § 403, eff. July 16, 1946, 11 F.R. 7876, 60 Stat. 1100, which directed the Secretary of Agriculture to select, classify, and segregate lands within the boundaries of national forests that might be opened to settlement and entry under the homestead laws applicable to the national forests, has been omitted in view of the repeal of the Forest Reserve Homestead Act “as amended and supplemented” by Pub. L. 87869, § 4, Oct. 23, 1962, 76 Stat. 1157, which had provided the basic framework under which reserved public domain lands suitable for farming in the national forests had been made available for homesteading.
