Legal corpus: the complete U.S. Code (59,740 sections, all 53 titles)

Ingested titles 12–51 and 54 from OLRC USLM XML @119-100 (the whole Code
now, uniform edition; Title 53 is reserved/empty). LegalText 11,221 ->
59,740; repo total 105,704 records. Deterministic (byte-identical rerun,
verified on Title 42's 8,356 sections); make check green. make
legal-us-code default now covers every title.

# 33 U.S.C. § 518 - Authorization of appropriations
## Text
There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this subchapter.

Alteration of BridgesPub. L. 10890, title II, Oct. 1, 2003, 117 Stat. 1144, provided in part: “That in fiscal year 2004 and thereafter, funds for bridge alteration projects conducted pursuant to the Act of June 21, 1940 (33 U.S.C. 511 et seq.) shall be available for such projects only to the extent that the steel, iron, and manufactured products used in such projects are produced in the United States, unless contrary to law or international agreement, or unless the Commandant of the Coast Guard determines such action to be inconsistent with the public interest or the cost unreasonable.” Similar provisions were contained in the following prior appropriation act: Pub. L. 1087, div. I, title I, Feb. 20, 2003, 117 Stat. 389.
