Legal corpus: the complete U.S. Code (59,740 sections, all 53 titles)

Ingested titles 12–51 and 54 from OLRC USLM XML @119-100 (the whole Code
now, uniform edition; Title 53 is reserved/empty). LegalText 11,221 ->
59,740; repo total 105,704 records. Deterministic (byte-identical rerun,
verified on Title 42's 8,356 sections); make check green. make
legal-us-code default now covers every title.

# 36 U.S.C. § 153103 - Powers
## Text
The corporation may—
(1) adopt a constitution and bylaws;
(2) adopt a seal; and
(3) acquire, own, lease, encumber, and transfer property as necessary or convenient to carry out its purposes.

L. 94443, § 1, 90 Stat. 1475. In clause (1), the words “not inconsistent with law” are omitted as unnecessary. Clause (3) is substituted for “acquire by purchase, gift, devise, or bequest and to hold, convey, or otherwise dispose of such property, real or personal, as may be convenient or necessary for its lawful purposes” for consistency in the revised title and to eliminate unnecessary words.
