Legal corpus: the complete U.S. Code (59,740 sections, all 53 titles)

Ingested titles 12–51 and 54 from OLRC USLM XML @119-100 (the whole Code
now, uniform edition; Title 53 is reserved/empty). LegalText 11,221 ->
59,740; repo total 105,704 records. Deterministic (byte-identical rerun,
verified on Title 42's 8,356 sections); make check green. make
legal-us-code default now covers every title.

# 40 U.S.C. § 3147 - Suspension of this subchapter during a national emergency

The President may suspend the provisions of this subchapter during a national emergency.

Termination of War and EmergenciesJoint Res. July 25, 1947, ch. 327, § 3, 61 Stat. 451, provided that in the interpretation of former 40 U.S.C. 276a5, the date July 25, 1947, was to be deemed to be the date of termination of any state of war theretofore declared by Congress and of the national emergencies proclaimed by the President on September 8, 1939, and May 27, 1941.
