Existing law establishes the California State University as one of the segments of public postsecondary education in the state. The university includes 25 specified campuses and is administered by a board, known as the Trustees of the California State University. Existing law requires the trustees to adopt rules and regulations for the government of the university and requires those rules and regulations to be published for distribution as soon as practicable after adoption. Existing law prescribes notice and hearing procedures for the adoption, amendment, and repeal of those regulations.
