Bill	Pharmacy.	(1) Existing law, the Pharmacy Law, provides for the licensure and regulation of the practice of pharmacy by the 13-member California State Board of Pharmacy, which is within the Department of Consumer Affairs. Existing law requires the Governor to appoint 7 competent pharmacists who reside in different parts of the state to serve as members of the board. Existing law requires the membership of the board to include at least one pharmacist representative from each of specified practice settings. Existing law authorizes the appointment of 6 public members, 4 of whom are appointed by the Governor, and the Senate Committee on Rules and the Speaker of the Assembly each appoint a public member, as prescribed. California AB 1533 (20212022) — Pharmacy.
