Existing law requires the commission to require each electrical corporation with 100,000 or more customer accounts in California to administer a green tariff shared renewables program to enable ratepayers to participate directly in offsite electrical generation facilities that use eligible renewable energy resources, as specified. California AB 2838 (20212022) — Electrical corporations: green tariff shared renewables program.
Under existing law, the Public Utilities Commission has regulatory jurisdiction over electrical corporations. Existing law requires the commission to require each electrical corporation with 100,000 or more customer accounts in California to administer a green tariff shared renewables program to enable ratepayers to participate directly in offsite electrical generation facilities that use eligible renewable energy resources, as specified.
