Bill State surplus property: digital inventory: affordable housing. Existing law requires each state agency annually to review certain proprietary state lands over which it has jurisdiction to determine what land, if any, is in excess of its foreseeable needs and report this in writing to the Department of General Services. Existing law requires the department to create a database of information on lands identified by a local government as suitable and available for residential development and information regarding the state lands determined or declared excess, as specified. Existing law requires the department to report to the Legislature annually the land declared excess and to request authorization to dispose of the land by sale or otherwise. California SB 561 (20212022) — State surplus property: digital inventory: affordable housing.

Existing law requires each state agency annually to review certain proprietary state lands over which it has jurisdiction to determine what land, if any, is in excess of its foreseeable needs and report this in writing to the Department of General Services.
