Bill Public works: wages: electronic certified payroll records. Existing law defines "public works," for the purposes of regulating public works contracts, as, among other things, construction, alteration, demolition, installation, or repair work done under contract and paid for, in whole or in part, out of public funds. California SB 954 (20212022) — Public works: wages: electronic certified payroll records.

Existing law defines "public works," for the purposes of regulating public works contracts, as, among other things, construction, alteration, demolition, installation, or repair work done under contract and paid for, in whole or in part, out of public funds. Existing law provides various requirements to which all public works projects are subject, including that each contractor and subcontractor must furnish payroll records to the Labor Commissioner, as specified.
