Bill	Voter registration: California New Motor Voter Program.	Existing law requires the Secretary of State and the Department of Motor Vehicles to establish the California New Motor Voter Program for the purpose of increasing opportunities for voter registration. Pursuant to this program, existing law requires every driver's license application to include a voter registration application that consists of, among other things, an attestation that the applicant meets voter eligibility requirements. Under existing law, a person who attests to their eligibility to vote on the voter registration application will be registered to vote unless the voter affirmatively declines to register to vote. California AB 2127 (20232024) — Voter registration: California New Motor Voter Program.

Existing law requires the Secretary of State and the Department of Motor Vehicles to establish the California New Motor Voter Program for the purpose of increasing opportunities for voter registration. Pursuant to this program, existing law requires every driver's license application to include a voter registration application that consists of, among other things, an attestation that the applicant meets voter eligibility requirements.
