Bill	Dentistry.	Existing law, the Dental Practice Act, establishes the Dental Board of California to license and regulate the practice of dentistry, and establishes requirements for meetings of the board, admission to, and practice of, dentistry, licensure and regulation of dental auxiliaries, the use of anesthesia and sedation, and the use of fictitious business names by dental corporations. Existing law requires that the board consist of 8 practicing dentists, a registered dental hygienist, a registered dental assistant, and 5 public members. California SB 1453 (20232024) — Dentistry.
