Bill EMPLOY/EDUC SUPPORT PERSONNEL Amends the School Code. Adds a special education cooperative that dissolves or reorganizes to provisions concerning the continued employment of educational support personnel employees in a new, annexing, or receiving school district. Provides that with respect to a special education cooperative reorganization, the contractual continued service status of a teacher transfers to the new or different board. Amends the Workers' Compensation Act. Provides that it is unlawful for an employer to demote an employee because of the exercise of his or her rights or remedies under the Act. Illinois SB 3709 (102nd) — EMPLOY/EDUC SUPPORT PERSONNEL

Amends the School Code. Adds a special education cooperative that dissolves or reorganizes to provisions concerning the continued employment of educational support personnel employees in a new, annexing, or receiving school district. Provides that with respect to a special education cooperative reorganization, the contractual continued service status of a teacher transfers to the new or different board.
