Bill PROFESSIONSSKIN GROWTH ED Amends the Acupuncture Practice Act, the Illinois Athletic Trainers Practice Act, the Massage Licensing Act, the Naprapathic Practice Act, the Illinois Physical Therapy Act, the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985, and the Electrologist Licensing Act. Provides that, in addition to any other requirements under those Acts, the following applicants must provide proof of completion of a course approved by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in abnormal skin growth education, including training on identifying melanoma: an applicant who submits an application for original licensure on or after January 1, 2026; and an applicant who was licensed before January 1, 2026 when submitting his or her first application for renewal or restoration of a license on or after January 1, 2026. Provides that the provisions shall not be construed to create a cause of action or any civil liabilities.
