Bill PUBLIC CONSTR BONDS-RECOVERY Amends the Public Construction Bond Act. Provides that the right to sue authorized under this Act on a bond or letter of credit executed by a person furnishing material or performing labor is in addition to and independent of any other rights and remedies provided at law or equity and that a waiver of mechanics lien rights shall not be a waiver of rights under this Act unless expressly stated in the waiver. Illinois HB 2493 (93rd) — PUBLIC CONSTR BONDS-RECOVERY

Amends the Public Construction Bond Act. Provides that the right to sue authorized under this Act on a bond or letter of credit executed by a person furnishing material or performing labor is in addition to and independent of any other rights and remedies provided at law or equity and that a waiver of mechanics lien rights shall not be a waiver of rights under this Act unless expressly stated in the waiver. Effective immediately.
