Bill PEN CD-DNST FIRE-FIRE PRO DIST Amends the Downstate Firefighter Article of the Illinois Pension Code. When a municipal fire department is discontinued and the affected territory is annexed by a fire protection district, provides for transfer of the assets and liabilities of the municipality's firefighters' pension fund to the pension fund of the fire protection district. Illinois HB 407 (93rd) — PEN CD-DNST FIRE-FIRE PRO DIST

Amends the Downstate Firefighter Article of the Illinois Pension Code. When a municipal fire department is discontinued and the affected territory is annexed by a fire protection district, provides for transfer of the assets and liabilities of the municipality's firefighters' pension fund to the pension fund of the fire protection district.
