Bill INS SURPLUS LINE COVERAGE Amends the Illinois Insurance Code in relation to surplus line insurance. Provides that surplus line insurance may be procured from unauthorized insurers or domestic surplus line insurers as defined. Requires each surplus line insurance policy or contract for insurance have stamped or imprinted on the first page of the policy or contract a notice to the policyholder that the issuing company is not covered by the Illinois Insurance Guaranty Fund because the issuing company is either (i) not authorized and licensed to transact business in Illinois or (ii) a domestic surplus line insurer. Illinois SB 2560 (93rd) — INS SURPLUS LINE COVERAGE

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code in relation to surplus line insurance. Provides that surplus line insurance may be procured from unauthorized insurers or domestic surplus line insurers as defined. Requires each surplus line insurance policy or contract for insurance have stamped or imprinted on the first page of the policy or contract a notice to the policyholder that the issuing company is not covered by the Illinois Insurance Guaranty Fund because the issuing company is either (i) not authorized and licensed to transact business in Illinois or (ii) a domestic surplus line insurer.
