Bill DISABLED ADULT-GUARDIAN ABUSE Amends the Abuse of Adults with Disabilities Intervention Act. Provides that if the guardian of the person of an adult with disabilities is alleged to be the perpetrator of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, the Adults with Disabilities Abuse Project may (now, shall) seek the appointment of a temporary substitute guardian pursuant to the Illinois Domestic Violence Act of 1986 under the Probate Act of 1975. Illinois HB 1511 (94th) — DISABLED ADULT-GUARDIAN ABUSE

Amends the Abuse of Adults with Disabilities Intervention Act. Provides that if the guardian of the person of an adult with disabilities is alleged to be the perpetrator of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, the Adults with Disabilities Abuse Project may (now, shall) seek the appointment of a temporary substitute guardian pursuant to the Illinois Domestic Violence Act of 1986 under the Probate Act of 1975. Effective immediately.
