Provides that the amount by which certain municipalities, including home rule units, may increase the fee for a license to operate a vending machine or to dispense goods or services from a vending machine shall not exceed the greater of the amount of the fee multiplied by: (i) 5% or (ii) the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers for all items published by the United States Department of Labor during the 12-month calendar year preceding the year in which the fee is increased. Illinois HB 874 (94th) — MUNI CD-VENDING LICENSE FEE
Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that the amount by which certain municipalities, including home rule units, may increase the fee for a license to operate a vending machine or to dispense goods or services from a vending machine shall not exceed the greater of the amount of the fee multiplied by: (i) 5% or (ii) the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers for all items published by the United States Department of Labor during the 12-month calendar year preceding the year in which the fee is increased.
