Bill CNTY CD-RECORDER Amends the Counties Code. Provides that, upon request by any person, the county recorder shall redact or remove certain personal information from any website maintained by the recorder or used by the recorder to display public records. Provides that any person who requests a redaction or removal without proper authority to do so is guilty of a petty offense. Requires each county recorder, within 12 months after the effective date of the amendatory Act, to submit a written policy to the General Assembly and the office of the Illinois Attorney General providing for the removal of all social security numbers from all records available from any website maintained by the recorder. Illinois HB 5586 (95th) — CNTY CD-RECORDER

Amends the Counties Code.
