Bill INTERNET CALLER ID ACT Creates the Internet Caller Identification Act. Provides that no person shall use any Internet caller identification equipment or Internet phone equipment in such a manner as to make a number or name, other than the caller's residential or business phone number or the caller's legal or business name, appear on a caller identification system of the recipient of the call. Provides that any person who knowingly uses or has knowingly used any Internet caller identification equipment or Internet phone equipment in violation of the Act commits an unlawful act or practice under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Illinois SB 380 (95th) — INTERNET CALLER ID ACT

Creates the Internet Caller Identification Act. Provides that no person shall use any Internet caller identification equipment or Internet phone equipment in such a manner as to make a number or name, other than the caller's residential or business phone number or the caller's legal or business name, appear on a caller identification system of the recipient of the call. Provides that any person who knowingly uses or has knowingly used any Internet caller identification equipment or Internet phone equipment in violation of the Act commits an unlawful act or practice under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act to make a violation of the Internet Caller Identification Act a violation of the Act.
