Bill VIOLENCE PREVENTION Amends the Illinois Violence Prevention Act of 1995. Provides that the Illinois Violence Prevention Authority has the responsibility to distribute grants, pursuant to rules adopted by the Authority and subject to available appropriations and other funds received for purposes of the Act, to community or statewide organizations that address violence prevention in a comprehensive and collaborative manner (rather than to distribute such grants without rules adopted by the Authority). Illinois HB 3647 (96th) — VIOLENCE PREVENTION

Amends the Illinois Violence Prevention Act of 1995. Provides that the Illinois Violence Prevention Authority has the responsibility to distribute grants, pursuant to rules adopted by the Authority and subject to available appropriations and other funds received for purposes of the Act, to community or statewide organizations that address violence prevention in a comprehensive and collaborative manner (rather than to distribute such grants without rules adopted by the Authority). Effective immediately.
