Bill DPH POWERS-PLAYGROUND SAFE Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall develop a training and education program on public playground safety issues. Provides that the program may be presented annually and may be available through the Department's website. Provides that the Department shall adopt rules, based on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's standards, to develop standards for public playground equipment by June 30, 2011. Illinois HB 6034 (96th) — DPH POWERS-PLAYGROUND SAFE

Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall develop a training and education program on public playground safety issues. Provides that the program may be presented annually and may be available through the Department's website. Provides that the Department shall adopt rules, based on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's standards, to develop standards for public playground equipment by June 30, 2011. Makes other changes.
