| Bill | PHYS ASSIST PRACT-COMMITTEE | Amends the Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987. Provides that the physician assistant advisory committee shall review and make recommendations to the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and the Medical Licensing Board regarding matters relating to physician assistants (now, only the Board). Provides that "matters relating to physician assistants" shall include, but not be limited to: (1) applications for licensure; (2) disciplinary proceedings; (3) renewal requirements; and (4) any other issues pertaining to the regulation and practice of physician assistants in the State. In the Section concerning the physician assistant advisory committee, replaces all references to the term "certified" with "licensed". Illinois SB 1486 (96th) — PHYS ASSIST PRACT-COMMITTEE
Amends the Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987. Provides that the physician assistant advisory committee shall review and make recommendations to the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and the Medical Licensing Board regarding matters relating to physician assistants (now, only the Board).
