Illinois HB 1228 (97th) — PLUMBING LICENSE LAW-HOME RULE
Amends the Illinois Plumbing License Law. Changes the home rule provision to provide that the power to regulate the licensing of plumbers, to adopt a minimum plumbing code of standards, and the regulation of the registration of irrigation contractors and plumbing contractors, except as otherwise provided within and under the provisions of this Act, shall be exercised by the State and may not be exercised by any unit of local government, including home rule units. Effective immediately.
