Provides that if a prospective juror is found to be unqualified or is excused due to a total and permanent disability, the county board, the jury administrator, or the jury commissioners shall permanently exclude the person from all jury lists. Provides that the proof of total and permanent disability shall be a licensed physician's written statement that concludes that the person has a total and permanent disability as defined in the Act, describes the disability, and explains how it prevents service as a juror. Illinois HB 1317 (97th) — JURY-EXCLUDE PERM DISABILITY
Amends the Jury Act. Provides that if a prospective juror is found to be unqualified or is excused due to a total and permanent disability, the county board, the jury administrator, or the jury commissioners shall permanently exclude the person from all jury lists.
