Bill VEH CD-REMOVE SSN EXEMPTION Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Removes the religious exemption to the requirement that an individual provide his or her social security number when applying for a driver's license or instruction permit. Removes provision for the use of a federal tax number or other distinctive number in lieu of a driver's license applicant's social security number. Removes provision for the use of an alternate identifying number in place of a commercial drivers license applicant's social security number. Illinois HB 1385 (97th) — VEH CD-REMOVE SSN EXEMPTION

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Removes the religious exemption to the requirement that an individual provide his or her social security number when applying for a driver's license or instruction permit.
