Bill CHIP-MEDICARE EFFECTIVE DATE Amends the Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan Act in the provision concerning definitions. Provides that as it pertains to Medicare, the effective date is 24 months after the entitlement date as approved by the Social Security Administration, except when eligibility is made retroactive to a prior date. Provides that in such circumstances, the effective date of Medicare is the date on the Notice of Award letter issued by the Social Security Administration. Illinois HB 3405 (97th) — CHIP-MEDICARE EFFECTIVE DATE

Amends the Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan Act in the provision concerning definitions. Provides that as it pertains to Medicare, the effective date is 24 months after the entitlement date as approved by the Social Security Administration, except when eligibility is made retroactive to a prior date.
