| Bill | MOBILE DENTAL VAN | Amends the Illinois Dental Practice Act. Provides a definition for "mobile dental van or portable dental unit". Creates a provision that requires the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and Department of Healthcare and Family Services to establish rules for the regulation and registration of all entities or individuals who own or operate a mobile dental van or portable dental unit that provides restorative, screening, or preventative care to patients in schools and other Illinois settings. Provides that the State Board may approve other state or regional board exams if other state or regional board exams are deemed to meet the minimal requirements for licensure in Illinois. Permits the Department to accept up to 4 hours of continuing education credit hours per license renewal period for volunteers who provide clinical services at or sponsored by, a nonprofit community clinic, local or state health departments, or at a charity event sponsored by an approved dental organization. Illinois SB 1602 (97th) — MOBILE DENTAL VAN
