Bill WHEAT DEV ACT-COMMITTEE MEMBER Amends the Wheat Development Act. Provides that the Director of the Department of Agriculture shall appoint a temporary wheat development program committee whose members are nominated by an association representing wheat producers. Provides that the total assessment levied on the commodity of any affected producer may (rather than shall) be up to 1.5 cents per bushel of wheat produced and sold by the producer as established by the temporary program committee. Provides that a refund owed to the producer shall be payable only if the application has been made to the board within 90 days (instead of 60 days). Illinois HB 2709 (98th) — WHEAT DEV ACT-COMMITTEE MEMBER

Amends the Wheat Development Act. Provides that the Director of the Department of Agriculture shall appoint a temporary wheat development program committee whose members are nominated by an association representing wheat producers.
