Bill LOCAL GOV APPOINTEE ETHICS ACT Creates the Illinois Local Government Appointee Ethics Act. Defines "unit of local government". Provides that any appointed member of a board, commission, authority, or task force created by State law or by executive order of the Governor who is appointed by a unit of local government shall be bound by the ethics laws applicable to, and ethics policies of, that unit of local government, and shall also be subject to the jurisdiction of the unit of local government's inspector general and that inspector general's enabling legislation. Illinois HB 2925 (98th) — LOCAL GOV APPOINTEE ETHICS ACT

Creates the Illinois Local Government Appointee Ethics Act. Defines "unit of local government". Provides that any appointed member of a board, commission, authority, or task force created by State law or by executive order of the Governor who is appointed by a unit of local government shall be bound by the ethics laws applicable to, and ethics policies of, that unit of local government, and shall also be subject to the jurisdiction of the unit of local government's inspector general and that inspector general's enabling legislation. Effective immediately.
