Bill HEALTH CARE LICENSE SUSPENSION Amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that health care workers licensed by the State be automatically and indefinitely suspended at such time as the final trial proceedings are concluded whereby a licensee has been adjudicated and found guilty, or has entered a plea of guilty or nolo contendere, in a criminal prosecution under the laws of the State, the laws of any other state, or the laws of the United States of America for any offense reasonably related to the qualifications, functions, or duties of their profession, or arising out of any investigation thereof, and for any offense in which defrauding Medicare, Medicaid, or any other health insurance provider is an essential element, whether or not sentence is imposed. Illinois HB 1359 (99th) — HEALTH CARE LICENSE SUSPENSION
