Bill Higher Education; governing boards, appointment. Clarifies that nonlegislative citizen members of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia and the Eastern Virginia Medical School Board of Visitors shall continue to hold office until their successors have been appointed and qualified. Virginia SB 411 (2018) — Higher Education; governing boards, appointment.

Clarifies that nonlegislative citizen members of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia and the Eastern Virginia Medical School Board of Visitors shall continue to hold office until their successors have been appointed and qualified. Under current law, such members continue to hold office until their successors have been appointed and confirmed. The bill is a recommendation of the Code Commission.
