Bill Political campaign advertisements; authorization statement, name of candidate defined. Political campaign advertisements; disclosures; authorization statement, name of candidate as it appears on the ballot; name of candidate campaign committee as it appears on statement of organization. Requires that when a disclosure statement for any political campaign advertisement includes the candidate's name for the purpose of meeting the disclosure requirement, the name must be the same as it appears on the ballot. When a disclosure statement includes the name of a campaign committee, the name must be the same as it appears on the statement of organization. The bill also requires candidates, when filing a statement of qualification, to state how he would like his name to appear on the ballot; currently, this is optional. Virginia HB 1556 (2020) — Political campaign advertisements; authorization statement, name of candidate defined.

Political campaign advertisements; disclosures; authorization statement, name of candidate as it appears on the ballot; name of candidate campaign committee as it appears on statement of organization.
