Bill Notice of certain land use actions; first-class mail to last known address, etc., of property owner. Notice of certain land use actions. Provides that one notice sent by first-class mail to the last known address of certain property owners impacted by a proposed change in the zoning map classification of 25 or fewer parcels of land shall be deemed adequate notice, provided that a representative of the local planning commission shall make affidavit that such mailings have been made and file such affidavit with the papers in the case. Virginia HB 2330 (2025) — Notice of certain land use actions; first-class mail to last known address, etc., of property owner.

Notice of certain land use actions. Provides that one notice sent by first-class mail to the last known address of certain property owners impacted by a proposed change in the zoning map classification of 25 or fewer parcels of land shall be deemed adequate notice, provided that a representative of the local planning commission shall make affidavit that such mailings have been made and file such affidavit with the papers in the case. Current law also allows such notice to be given by registered or certified mail. The bill also makes technical amendments.
