Ingested titles 12–51 and 54 from OLRC USLM XML @119-100 (the whole Code
now, uniform edition; Title 53 is reserved/empty). LegalText 11,221 ->
59,740; repo total 105,704 records. Deterministic (byte-identical rerun,
verified on Title 42's 8,356 sections); make check green. make
legal-us-code default now covers every title.

15 U.S.C. § 5522 - National Aeronautics and Space Administration activities

Text

As part of the Program described in subchapter I, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration shall conduct basic and applied research in networking and information technology, particularly in the field of computational science, with emphasis on aerospace sciences, earth and space sciences, and remote exploration and experimentation.

Amendments2017—Pub. L. 114329 struck out subsec. (a) designation and heading “General responsibilities”, substituted “networking and information technology” for “high-performance computing”, and struck out subsec. (b) which authorized appropriations for fiscal years 1992 to 1996.
