Codification Sections 2821 to 2826 expired, not later than the thirtieth day after June 30, 1975, pursuant to section 2823 of this title. Section 2821, Pub. L. 92352, title VI, § 601, July 13, 1972, 86 Stat. 497, declared that it was the purpose of this chapter to establish a commission to make studies and recommendations directed at providing a more effective system for formulation and implementation of foreign policy. Section 2822, Pub. L. 92352, title VI, § 602, July 13, 1972, 86 Stat. 497, established the commission, known as the Commission on the Organization of the Government for the Conduct of Foreign Policy. Section 2823, Pub. L. 92352, title VI, § 603, July 13, 1972, 86 Stat. 497; Pub. L. 93126, § 4, Oct. 18, 1973, 87 Stat. 452, related to duties of the commission, required a comprehensive report be submitted to the President and to Congress not later than June 30, 1975, and provided that the commission cease to exist on the thirtieth day after the report was filed. Section 2824, Pub. L. 92352, title VI, § 604, July 13, 1972, 86 Stat. 498, related to powers of the commission. Section 2825, Pub. L. 92352, title VI, § 605, July 13, 1972, 86 Stat. 498, related to appointment and compensation of personnel and the services of experts and consultants. Section 2826, Pub. L. 92352, title VI, § 606, July 13, 1972, 86 Stat. 499, authorized sums as necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter.
