Ingested titles 12–51 and 54 from OLRC USLM XML @119-100 (the whole Code now, uniform edition; Title 53 is reserved/empty). LegalText 11,221 -> 59,740; repo total 105,704 records. Deterministic (byte-identical rerun, verified on Title 42's 8,356 sections); make check green. make legal-us-code default now covers every title. Editorial Notes
Codification Section, act June 7, 1924, ch. 316, § 9, 43 Stat. 606, directed Secretary of War to investigate depositing of polluting substances into navigable streams and report the results to Congress not later than two years from June 7, 1924. Subsequent to editorial omission of this section as obsolete, Pub. L. 89–753, title II, § 211(a), Nov. 3, 1966, 80 Stat. 1252–1254, amended act June 7, 1924, generally, after which such Act consisted only of sections 1 to 7, resulting in the statutory omission of section 9.
