Ingested titles 12–51 and 54 from OLRC USLM XML @119-100 (the whole Code now, uniform edition; Title 53 is reserved/empty). LegalText 11,221 -> 59,740; repo total 105,704 records. Deterministic (byte-identical rerun, verified on Title 42's 8,356 sections); make check green. make legal-us-code default now covers every title. 43 U.S.C. § 124 - Consolidation of land offices
Text
It shall be the duty of the Secretary of the Interior to consolidate the district land offices where practicable and consistent with the public interests.

Statutory Notes and Related Subsidiaries
AppropriationsAct Mar. 3, 1893, ch. 208, 27 Stat. 591, required the Secretary of the Interior to consolidate the district land offices so as to bring the total compensation of the registers and receivers for the fiscal year 1894, within the appropriation made therefor by the sundry Civil Appropriation Act for that year, which was fixed at $520,000.
