# California AB 2499 (20152016) — Sexual assault evidence kits.

Existing law, the Sexual Assault Victims' DNA Bill of Rights, expresses findings and declarations of the Legislature stating, among other things, that timely deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) analysis of rape kit evidence is a core public safety issue affecting men, women, and children in this state.
