# California AB 135 (20172018) — Transportation.
(1) Existing federal law requires the United States Secretary of Transportation to carry out a surface transportation project delivery pilot program, under which the secretary may enter into an agreement with a state for the state to assume the responsibilities of the secretary with respect to federal environmental review and clearance under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) with respect to one or more transportation projects, as specified.
