# California AB 467 (20172018) — Local transportation authorities: transactions and use taxes.

The Local Transportation Authority and Improvement Act provides for the creation in any county of a local transportation authority and authorizes the imposition by the authority, by ordinance, of a retail transactions and use tax, subject to approval of the ordinance by 23 of the voters. Existing law provides for the authority to adopt a transportation expenditure plan for the proceeds of the tax, and requires the entire adopted transportation expenditure plan to be included in the voter information guide sent to voters.
