# Illinois HB 3205 (102nd) — UNIFORM ELECTRONIC TRANSACTION

Creates the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. Provides that a contract, record, of signature may not be denied legal effect or enforceability simply because it is in electronic form or an electronic record was used in its formation. Provides that if a law requires a record to be in writing, an electronic record satisfies the law. Provides that if a law requires a signature, an electronic signature satisfies the law.
