Provides that a dentist or dental hygienist who is a dental emergency responder acts within the bounds of his or her license when he or she provides care during a declared local, State, or national emergency. Makes other changes. Effective immediately."

# Illinois HB 875 (94th) — DENTAL PRACTICE-SUNSET-LICENSE

||

Amends the Regulatory Sunset Act. Extends the repeal of the Illinois Dental Practice Act to January 1, 2016. Amends the Illinois Dental Practice Act. Defines "titration" and "dental emergency responder". Prohibits the titration of orally administered sedative agents that exceeds the maximum recommended dose. Provides that a dentist shall not be required to maintain a general license in addition to a specialty license. Provides that restricted faculty licenses shall be valid for a period of 3 years, rather than 2 years.
