# Illinois SB 2162 (97th) — VEH CD-SHERIFF PLTS:NO FEE
|
||
|
||
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that beginning with the 2012 registration year, county-owned vehicles operated by or for any county sheriff and designated deputy sheriffs shall be exempt from fees related to the transfer of registration plates from one vehicle to another. Provides that each county sheriff shall submit to the Secretary of State a list of all vehicles issued permanent vehicle registration plates containing (1) the Vehicle Identification Number of the Vehicle; and (2) the corresponding license plate number.
