# Illinois HB 4495 (98th) — MINOR-DCFS CUSTODY-AGE
|
||
|
||
Amends the Children and Family Services Act and the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Provides that a minor charged with a criminal offense under the Criminal Code of 1961 or the Criminal Code of 2012 or adjudicated delinquent shall not be placed in the custody of or committed to the Department of Children and Family Services by any court, except a minor less than 18 (rather than 15) years of age and committed to the Department of Children and Family Services under the sentencing order provisions of the Delinquency Article of the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 or a minor for whom a basis (deletes independent) of abuse, neglect, or dependency exists.
