# 52 U.S.C. § 30144 - Partial invalidity
## Text
If any provision of this Act, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the validity of the remainder of the Act and the application of such provision to other persons and circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

Statutory Notes and Related Subsidiaries
SeverabilityPub. L. 107155, title IV, § 401, Mar. 27, 2002, 116 Stat. 112, provided that: “If any provision of this Act [see Tables for classification] or amendment made by this Act, or the application of a provision or amendment to any person or circumstance, is held to be unconstitutional, the remainder of this Act and amendments made by this Act, and the application of the provisions and amendment to any person or circumstance, shall not be affected by the holding.”
