verified on Title 42's 8,356 sections); make check green. make
legal-us-code default now covers every title.

# 42 U.S.C. § 3030s2 - Maintenance of effort
## Text
Funds made available under this part shall supplement, and not supplant, any Federal, State, or local funds expended by a State or unit of general purpose local government (including an area agency on aging) to provide services described in section 3030s1 of this title.

Prior ProvisionsPrior sections 3030s11 and 3030s12, which comprised subpart II of this part, were repealed by Pub. L. 109365, title III, § 322, Oct. 17, 2006, 120 Stat. 2552. Section 3030s11, Pub. L. 8973, title III, § 375, as added Pub. L. 106501, title III, § 316(2), Nov. 13, 2000, 114 Stat. 2256, provided for an innovation grant program. Section 3030s12, Pub. L. 8973, title III, § 376, as added Pub. L. 106501, title III, § 316(2), Nov. 13, 2000, 114 Stat. 2257, directed Assistant Secretary to carry out activities of national significance to promote quality and continuous improvement in the support provided to family and other informal caregivers of older individuals.
Amendments2016—Pub. L. 114144 substituted “this part” for “this subpart”.
