Existing law regulates vehicles, including rules of the road, licensing requirements, and criminal penalties. Existing law makes it unlawful to drive a motor vehicle or ride a bicycle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as specified, and imposes consequences when a traffic accident occurs as a result.
