# Illinois HB 5488 (102nd) — SCH CD-ABSENCE FOR CIVIC EVENT

||
|
||
Amends the School Code. Provides that any child from a public school, subject to guidelines established by the State Board of Education, shall be permitted by a school board at least one school day-long excused absence per school year for any middle school or high school student for a child that is absent from school to engage in a civic event.
